Alabama Possible’s mentors worked with 46 high school students and graduates over 9 weeks. These students each have their own story, their own dream, and their own reason for going to college. Here are a few of the faces from the 2017 Summer Drop-In Center:
Alabama’s future CEOs, nurses, electricians, veterinarians, and pipe welders visited Alabama Possible’s free Cash for College Summer Drop-In Center to finish their to-do lists before starting to college in the Fall. The Drop-In Center equipped Birmingham-area students to successfully transition into college, where they will study business, nursing, electrical technology, biology, welding, and more. This summer, future college graduates submitted FAFSAs, sent high school transcripts, and applied for scholarships at the Drop-In Center and at pop-up locations around the city.
