Meet and learn from Clare Cady and Marcy Stidum at Hungry for Justice, a free student-centered poverty and hunger summit on Friday, February 24, 2017, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Troy University’s Montgomery campus. The summit will examine the challenges that college students face on the path to completion with a focus on food insecurity, housing insecurity, and access to public benefits.
Clare Cady leads a national network of campus-based food banks with 400 member institutions as the director and co-founder of the College and University Food Bank Alliance and has published research on food insecurity on college campuses.
Marcy Stidum is the founder of Kennesaw State University’s nationally-recognized CARE Center, which
supports students who have experienced homelessness, food insecurity and/or the foster care system.
After lunch, students will present their work fighting food insecurity on their college campuses through campus kitchens, pantries, and research.
