Do you have your calendar marked for the inaugural Alabama Education and Workforce Network Conference scheduled for April 14-15, 2020, at the Hilton Birmingham at UAB? You will get to hear a keynote speech from Governor Kay Ivey about Alabama’s Success Plus goal to add 500,000 highly-skilled individuals to Alabama’s workforce by 2025.

We hope you will share your knowledge about supporting students in their transition from high school to and through postsecondary education by submitting a presentation proposal.

Presenters may include high school educators, counselors, and administrators; representatives from community-based organizations and government agencies; researchers and faculty members at colleges and universities; foundations and funders; and other education and workforce stakeholders. Presentations will be made during 60- or 75-minute breakout sessions on both days of the conference and will cover the following topics:

Postsecondary Access and Success
Connecting College and Career Success
Financial Aid and Literacy
Academic Readiness for Postsecondary Education
Social and Emotional Learning
Equity and Opportunity

Please review the proposal requirements and submit your proposal by Wednesday, February 19, 2020.
