What are you doing today?

I just went to the Birmingham MLK Day breakfast. It is truly fascinating to go to this kind of event in a city where Martin Luther King, Jr., truly changed the course of history.

For the rest of my “day on,” I am working on the program for Thursday’s Fed Up with Hunger event, which will raise funds for community gardens here in Birmingham.

I hope you took the opportunity today to participate in acts of service. As Rev. King so wisely said in theLetter from the Birmingham Jail, “We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny.”
