Did you know your support puts students across Alabama on a pathway to economic prosperity?

Many students in rural communities like Phil Campbell and Cherokee want to continue their education after high school so that they are prepared for today’s careers. Most of them will be the first in the family to do so, and these students need people they can ask questions about college.

What’s the solution? Equip students from Northwest-Shoals Community College’s Phi Theta Kappa honor society to work with local high school students and explore technical and academic educational pathways.

High school students are more likely to ask questions of the mentors than their teachers or college administrators. The partnership works and builds an equitable college-going culture. Although we have made a tremendous amount of progress, there still is a lot of work left to do,” said Pam Peters, who advises the Northwest-Shoals Phi Theta Kappa chapter.

You can help continue this work through your year-end gift. The bigger the gift you make, the more lives you can impact.

Giving is easy. Just go to alabamapossible.org/donate and donate securely online.

Thank you!
