University of Montevallo Student Korey Wilson is an advocate for college access.

The final countdown is on. We have less than 2 days left to reach our fundraising goal.

I’m so grateful for all the support we’ve received from faith communities, local businesses, and individuals like you, who contributed $21,256 this year. Our goal is to reach $28,500 by tomorrow night.

According to the latest Census data, 19 percent of Alabamians and 28 percent of our kids live below the poverty line. Alabama is tied with Kentucky as the sixth poorest state in the country.

Alabama can do better. APP works to educate, engage, and advocate to reduce poverty in Alabama. We accomplish our mission by increasing college access with our Blueprints College Access Initiative, supporting service-learning with our higher education members, and motivating Alabamians to engage in poverty-reduction activities.

Your tax-deductible gift will mobilize Alabamians to reduce poverty.

Thank you for your support and partnership.
